Cradle of Aviation Museum The exhibition galleries of the Cradle of Aviation Museum are located in the Donald Everett Axinn Air and Space Museum Hall. Consisting of two fully renovated pre-World War II Mitchel Field military hangars and retaining its original restored façade, the hall adjoins the Reckson Center for a total of 60,000 sq. ft. of exhibit.
